The Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao, facing the Guggenheim Museum, expresses a contemporary concept that avoids ostentation and promotes fun. The project is infected by its neighbour, the Guggenheim's, activity and offers a space that contains a selection of furniture that represents the most emblematic design from the 20th century. Its singularity consists in the application of a concept of integral design, of great, formal coherence, carried out by Javier Mariscal.
The reading corner: Txokotranquilocorner
This is the space which best pays homage to the design of the 20th Century. A place that, far from looking like an exposition of objects of design, manages to establish a relaxing dialogue, filled with warmth, so that you can read or converse upon the grass calmly.
Terrace & Breakfast Room: Buenas Vistas Terrace
A large terrace paved with teakwood from where unusual views of the Guggenheim and the "Ría" can be taken in, and a covered zone by a copper-latticed canopy that shelters those wishing to shelter high up, allowing the appreciation of the geography of a place where modernisation doesn't prevent the natural countryside from strongly coming forth from where the urban landscape is interrupted.

The GHDB includes 135 rooms and 10 suites, spread over 5 floors in the building. A suite can be found on every floor and another 6 on the sixth with great views of the Guggenheim. Special care has been put into each room interior to have a personalised and distinguished detail from the rest. Its modern equipment that includes an interactive television, functionality and aesthetics are combined to keep a perfect balance.
Each floor has its own colour code: ochre, stone tones, greens, blues and reds. Respecting this code, the colour of the carpeting changes on each floor as it does in the rooms, including two shades of the colour. Great care has been taken in choosing the bed-ware, made of natural materials. The sheets are made of Egyptian cotton, the bedspread, made of a combination of wool and cashmere. A series of different pillows are offered so that the guest can choose the most suitable. Each bedroom has a complete set of amenities for man and woman.

Its interior design is a homage to Bauhaus and the designers who stood out in the 20's of the 20th century. The crystallised closing turns into an open view of the urban street with the Guggenheim in full view.

Red and white characterises its interior. The colours evoke the passion and purity that were necessary to believe in the ideals that were forged in the 60's, the period that inspired its decoration.
